Ghost Sherpa

A dynamic agency website combining a headless CMS, rich animations, and a flexible content-driven architecture.

Website

Project Overview

Ghost Sherpa is a digital agency and talent partner working across technology, creative, marketing, project management, customer success, and operations. I worked on the development of its new website, building a modern frontend experience around a flexible content management system.

The website was built with Next.js and TypeScript, using Sanity as a headless CMS to manage the site's content and allow the team to update pages, services, case studies, and other sections without relying on code changes.

I worked extensively on the frontend implementation, translating the designs into responsive interfaces, reusable components, dynamic content structures, and interactive sections throughout the site.

Framer Motion was used to bring movement and transitions into the experience, adding depth and personality without getting in the way of the content. The result is a content-heavy website that still feels dynamic and highly visual.

The Challenges

One of the main challenges was building a flexible frontend around a large amount of structured and continuously evolving content. The site includes multiple capabilities, engagement models, case studies, resources, and supporting pages, all of which needed to work within a consistent system.

Sanity allowed the content model to remain independent from the presentation layer, but this also meant designing reusable frontend components capable of handling different content structures and variations.

Another important part of the project was balancing animation and usability. The site relies heavily on motion to create visual rhythm and guide users through sections, while keeping transitions responsive and performant.

The frontend also needed to remain maintainable as the website continued to grow. Reusable components, structured content, and consistent interaction patterns were important for making new pages and content easier to implement.

"Ghost Sherpa was one of my most recent and technically complete frontend projects, combining Next.js, TypeScript, Sanity, and Framer Motion in a large content-driven website. I worked across the frontend architecture, reusable components, CMS integration, responsive implementation, and interactive animations, turning a broad set of content and designs into a cohesive production website."

Key Features

Headless CMS

Integrated Sanity as a headless CMS to manage structured website content independently from the frontend.

Reusable Components

Built reusable frontend components and patterns to support a large and continuously evolving website.

Dynamic Content

Connected structured Sanity content to dynamic pages, capabilities, case studies, and other website sections.

Motion & Interactions

Implemented animations and transitions with Framer Motion to create a more dynamic and engaging experience.

Responsive Frontend

Developed responsive layouts and interactions across desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences.

Content Architecture

Structured the frontend around flexible content models that allow the website to grow without duplicating implementation.

Case Studies

Built flexible layouts for presenting project case studies and their supporting content.

Performance

Balanced rich visual interactions and animations with a performant production-ready frontend.
