Project Overview
Strive Training is a UK training provider offering a range of professional courses and training programs. I worked extensively on the WordPress website, handling both frontend development and custom WordPress functionality.
The project was built around a custom WordPress theme, with tailored templates, layouts, and dynamic content designed around the site’s specific requirements rather than relying on a pre-built theme.
My work included developing dynamic course listings, integrating forms, building responsive interfaces, and implementing custom functionality throughout the site.
I was also involved in the ongoing maintenance and evolution of the website, making improvements and adjustments as new requirements emerged. SEO and performance improvements were also part of the work, helping maintain a fast and well-structured website as the platform evolved.
The Challenges
One of the main challenges was building a flexible WordPress experience from a custom theme while keeping the content manageable and adaptable as the training offering evolved.
Course content needed to be presented dynamically through reusable templates and layouts, allowing different training offerings to share a consistent structure while accommodating different content.
The website also required custom functionality and form integrations to support different user flows and interactions throughout the site.
Another important part of the project was maintaining a consistent responsive experience across different screen sizes while working within a custom WordPress frontend.
As an ongoing project, the website continued to evolve after the initial development. I worked on maintenance, improvements, new functionality, and refinements as requirements changed.
SEO and performance were also considered during development, with attention to the site’s structure, frontend implementation, and overall user experience.
